Wikimania
Three days, 81 talks, now over.
Imagine a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge
#wikimania2018
Wikimania 2018 has ended — thanks to all who made it a success!
Wikimania là gì?
Wikimania is the annual conference celebrating all the free knowledge projects hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation - Commons, MediaWiki, Meta-Wiki, Wikibooks, Wikidata, Wikinews, Wikipedia, Wikiquote, Wikisource, Wikispecies, Wikiversity, Wikivoyage, and Wiktionary - with three days of conferences, discussions, meetups, training, and workshops. Hundreds of volunteers and Free Knowledge leaders from around the world gather to discuss issues, report on new projects and approaches, and exchange ideas.
The theme of Wikimania 2018 was "Bridging knowledge gaps: the Ubuntu way forward," with the aim of focusing on what and who is still missing from our sum of all human knowledge, and building shared strategies to bridge these collective gaps.
This year's Wikimania was held at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, from 18th July to 22nd July, 2018.
