Where: Plenary hall (Montreal + Mexico City rooms, Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel)
What: Enjoy soft drinks, wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres with others attending Wikimania. Must have conference name badge to enter. Stop by the registration desk to pick up your badge!

When: 19:00 – 21:00 (Departure shuttle from hotel at 18:30).
Where: Two Oceans Aquarium, Dock Rd, V & A Waterfront (OpenStreetMap, GoogleMaps, official website)
What: Walk through the exhibits and view sea life while sampling local street foods. Each guest will be provided with two complimentary drink tickets. Additional drinks will be available for purchase. Must have conference name badge to enter.
Transport: Complimentary round trip transportation will be provided from Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel to Two Oceans Aquarium. Please be at the hotel between 18:20 and 18:30 to board a shuttle. The last shuttle will depart at 18:45 pm. Return shuttles will depart from the aquarium at 21:00, upon the conclusion of the party.
Note: There are strict noise regulations on the waterfront outside the aquarium. All guests are asked to keep noise levels low when arriving and departing the aquarium.

Wikimania 2018 Closing party at GOLD Restaurant, 15 Bennett St, Green Point - Traditional Dance at Hotel.

When: 19:00 – Midnight (Departure shuttle from hotel at 18:30).

What: You will be seated for a family-style, multi-course dinner featuring a Cape Malay and African menu that will transport you from Table Mountain to Timbuktu. This culinary experience is accompanied by unique and interactive traditional entertainment. We request that you arrive at 7:00 pm to enjoy the complete experience. Later in the evening, there will be a DJ, dancing, and quiet space to relax. Each guest will be provided with a welcome drink and two complimentary drink tickets. Additional drinks will be available for purchase. Must have conference name badge to enter.
Transport: Complimentary round trip transportation will be provided from Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel to GOLD Restaurant. Please be at the hotel between 18:20 and 18:30 to board a shuttle. The last shuttle will depart at 18:45 pm. Return shuttles will depart from GOLD starting at 22:30, running every half hour, with the final shuttle at midnight.
